Linaje
Cuando Augusto Cesar legisló contra los ciudadanos
solteros
de Roma, los declaró en cierto modo, asesinos del pueblo.
Ah no estos no!
Estos que no tuvieron hijos, no son los que
entregaron
tantos muertos a la ola viajera,
los indefensos bebés de los mares que los acunan;
no son los que condenaron por decretos infalibles
a un número incontable de hombres a la tumba
incontable.
Pero los que matan
son padres. Son suyos los ejércitos. La muerte es de
ellos,
la muerte de las inocencias y desesperaciones;
la muerte de los dorados y los grises.
La sentencia cuando ellos la pronuncian, no admite
no.
Y la que asesina es la que da a luz, la que da a luz.

And she who slays is she who bears, who bears.
